The world does not stop at Monday, 3pm. Right before 3pm I received a call from the bank that required me to take care of something, so I did. I then picked up Josh from school. Then on Tuesday morning I walked the Aina Haina loop, expecting to rekindle my “Camino” time with God, that is time in solitude to hear God’s voice, but there were lots of distractions internally (thoughts running through my mind) and externally (activity in the neighborhood) during my walk.
On Monday afternoon Josh and I enjoyed a plate of homemade nachos, played cards, and talked father and son stuff. On Tuesday morning after my walk, I sat in the backyard with coffee, gentle breezes and the sounds of birds. Loved it!
As I sat in my backyard there were many memories of the good times we had hanging out with family and friends in this backyard. I have an image of baby Joshua on a blanket in this backyard, smiling and enjoying how time stood still in those days. I praised God for these memories that are still fresh.
Then around 11:15am I had a unique experience of the Spirit to share more fully at another time. In short, I felt led to pray very specifically for many people whose faces are on Christmas cards posted on our living room wall. There were some people who are Tammi’s friends who I don’t know very well. It was a time of feeling very close to the Spirit and I thanked God for continuing to change me at the “molecular” level to be a soul who lives for Him.
