What we believe
Our foundation is built on the Word, the Spirit, and the Practices that shape our life in Christ. These three work together to form us into the likeness of Jesus for the sake of others.

Word

Our faith is rooted in the truth of Scripture. We seek to understand why we believe what we believe — not only in doctrine, but in how biblical truth speaks into the complex questions and cultural issues of our day. Through the Word, we learn to think deeply, live faithfully, and love well.

Spirit

We embrace the presence and power of the Holy Spirit as an essential part of daily life. The Spirit gives gifts, guides truth, and empowers believers to live fruitful and courageous lives.

Scriptural Foundations:

  • Spiritual Offices: Ephesians 4:11–12
  • Spiritual Gifts: 1 Corinthians 12:4, 8–10, 28; 1 Corinthians 14:1–5, 13–15, 22, 26–30

Practices

Spiritual disciplines are how we live out our formation — being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing what Jesus did.

Throughout the year, we practice nine rhythms from Practicing the Way, each with four weeks of learning and one week of reflection — a rhythm of growth that helps us live as people who overflow with the love of Christ into the world.

OUR CORE THEOLOGY

About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — coequal and co-eternal.
(Genesis 1:1,26–27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 3:16–17; 28:19; Luke 1:35; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God the Son, fully divine and fully human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for our sins, rose again on the third day, and ascended to the Father. One day, He will return in glory to establish His kingdom.
(Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:18,23–25; John 1:1,14; Acts 1:9–11; Philippians 2:5–6; Revelation 1:7)

About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and Son, revealing Jesus to the world and empowering believers with wisdom, boldness, and spiritual gifts. He dwells within every follower of Christ from the moment of salvation, guiding us toward truth and transformation.
(John 16:7–13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18)

The Gifts of the Spirit
The Spirit works through a variety of gifts to strengthen the Church and confirm the power of the gospel. These gifts operate in harmony with Scripture and in alignment with God’s character.
(Romans 12:4–8; 1 Corinthians 12; 14; 1 Peter 4:10)
About the Bible
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Written by human authors under divine guidance, it is the final authority for faith and life.
(Psalm 12:6; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
About Humanity
People are created in God’s image — made for relationship with Him and one another. Though sin distorts this image, redemption is found in Jesus Christ alone.
(Genesis 1:26–31; Romans 3:23; 5:12–21)
About Salvation
Salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ — not by works, but by trusting in His death, burial, and resurrection. Eternal life begins the moment we believe.
(Romans 5:1; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6)
Repentance
Repentance is turning away from sin and toward Christ — the beginning of redemption and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
(Acts 2:21; 3:19; 1 John 1:9)
Sanctification
Sanctification is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit shaping our character into Christlikeness.
(Romans 12:1–2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 2:11)

About the Church
The Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers united by faith in Jesus. Every believer is called to participate in a local church — a family of faith that grows, serves, and worships together.
(Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22; Hebrews 12:22–24)

Water Baptism
Baptism is an act of obedience and public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing our new life in Him.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)
The Lord’s Supper
Communion is a time of remembrance and gratitude for Jesus’ sacrifice, symbolized through the bread and cup.
(Matthew 26:26–29; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
Healing of the Sick
Healing was part of Jesus’ ministry and continues today through the Holy Spirit’s power and the prayers of the Church.
(Psalm 103:2–3; Isaiah 53:5; James 5:14–16)
About Eternity
Every person will live forever — either eternally united with God through Jesus or separated from Him by sin. Heaven and hell are real and eternal realities.
(John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:12–15)
