I felt really tired this week. In times of weariness, I’ve learned to press-in more intentionally to spend time with the LORD. So, instead of sleeping in later, I got up at my usual time on Tuesday morning to Sabbath (my appointment with God), then I prayed for Joshua, Tammi, KCF, and the local business owners and their businesses that I’m involved in. In closing I asked, “What does my best look like?”
Just being able to spend a full day dedicated to the LORD really is a privilege and has been the source of delight for me. Not only has it become part of my weekly rhythm to sabbath, it’s been a time of reflection and personal growth.
You know, I think my prayer time has increased my feeling of nearness to God. I don’t know exactly when that happened. But it feels like now when I pray, it’s like He’s there, listening. I don’t necessarily hear anything all the time. It’s just the feeling that He’s there, listening.
