Falling Behind Schedule
Where did I feel resistance?

My Sabbath started late again, at 5:30pm, two and a half hours past my targeted 3:00pm.  Once this happened, I also knew that I had planned to help make okoshi at 3:00pm when my Sabbath was scheduled to end 24-hours later.  So delaying my start felt like I failed again, “cheating” the Sabbath by two and a half hours.

Where did I feel delight?

Once again, something unexpected happened at the end of my sabbath.  Tuesday’s okoshi was canceled at the last minute so I was able to extend my Sabbath the two and a half hours I had shorted it the day before.  This is the second time when I felt sad and like a failed at the Sabbath but something out-of-my-control happened that allowed me to keep my Sabbath after all.

Where did I most experience God’s nearness?

I spent Tuesday morning during my Sabbath at a 2-hour conference at C4 entitled “Spiritual Downloads” in which Francis Oda and Richard Gordon were the speakers.  It was a terrific time that affirmed to me that God is leading to step with boldness into the spiritual realm.  This comes at a time when a group from KCF is preparing to attend Pastor Shea Takazono’s class “Spirit & Power Lifestyle.”  I’m greatly looking forward to this 8-week class on growing in our spiritual gifts. Would you pray for those who will be attending?  Please pray that everyone attending would have an encounter with the Holy Spirit that will transform their lives and be instilled with a boldness to step into their calling.

Week 1 of my Prayer reflections…(From Japan)

Where did I feel resistance?

We left on our family trip to Japan on Saturday and rolling into a new week I wondered if I would be able to keep my Sabbath Monday 3pm to Tuesday 3pm.  I also wondered if I would be able to keep my daily time in Solitude.  Well, depending on what time zone you consider (Japan is +19 hours Hawaii time) on my Monday 3pm I spent the time traveling to Hokkaido.  Then on Tuesday, I spent the time traveling to the Blue Pond and the famous flower farm Shikisai no oka.  No usual Sabbath in this sense.

Where did I feel delight?

God’s beauty is on display in Japan. I delighted in seeing the Blue Pond located in the mountains of Biei, Hokkaido.
