Monday Sets the Pace
Where did I feel resistance?
With a lot going on Tuesday morning I am reminded that Monday’s busy-ness directly affects Tuesday’s pace. My post-Monday 3pm wind-down for Sabbath is an important part of my ritual because without an effective wind-down period my Tuesday morning can begin at a frenetic pace. Monday afternoon is therefore as important as Tuesday morning and afternoon to minimize distraction.
Where did I feel delight?
The weather was beautiful in the backyard this week and I treasure spending this time with the LORD.
Where did I most experience God’s nearness?
My journal! I have an expectation that God will speak to me when the journal is open. Thoughts flood. Enter discernment. Contemplative prayer has been an amazing time experiencing God’s nearness.
