Formation Stories
Each of us is shaped by the stories we live.
These Formation Stories were created to remind us that we share more in common than we often realize—longing, loss, hope, joy, and the quiet search for meaning that we call life.
They aren’t sermons or lessons to be learned.
They’re real stories of people in our community—teachers, parents, students, and friends—each discovering what it means to grow, to love, and to become whole.
In listening to one another’s journeys, we begin to see our own more clearly. We discover that faith is less about arriving at answers and more about walking together with empathy and courage.
Because life is a journey of formation—and none of us were meant to walk it alone.
Mirasol and Beth
Marisol and Beth’s story is about community and authenticity. Through their small group, they’ve discovered that faith deepens not through structure but through friendship—learning, questioning, and growing together in a space where everyone belongs.
Aunty Sally
Aunty Sally’s story is a portrait of lifelong faith. Through nearly a century of listening, learning, and loving others well, she reminds us that spiritual maturity is found not in knowledge alone, but in a heart continually open to God’s voice and presence.
Pastor Mark
Mark’s story is a reflection on discernment and surrender. He reminds us that good decisions flow not from impulse or self-interest, but from a heart aligned with God’s Word, grounded in prayer, and willing to wait and listen.
Joshua, Logan, Mason
Three college students—Joshua, Logan, and Mason—share how encountering diverse people and perspectives on campus is deepening and refining their faith. Their story shows what it means to move from inherited belief to personal conviction—to make faith their own.
